GABRIEL PARTS

BuyAutoParts.com sells Gabriel Parts and accessories at unbeatable prices. Gabriel is an American manufacturer of aftermarket and OEM suspension components for a range of automobiles including cars, light trucks, vans and heavy-duty vehicles. It specializes in the production of high-performance shock absorbers and struts. The company was established by Claud H. Foster in the early 1900s. Gabriel is a pioneer in introducing many suspension parts in the industry. Its contribution to the suspension industry includes the invention of the first automotive shock, hydraulic shock and the first adjustable shock absorber. The high quality of Gabriel products is backed by over 100 years of experience in manufacturing shocks and struts in the industry. Gabriel suspension parts are made to provide a bump-free ride and excellent control over the vehicle. The company employs precision engineering and meticulous testing processes to ensure maximum reliability and quality. The various testing procedures include spring rate testing, durometer testing, limit loading tests and bearing testing. All Gabriel products are also fit-tested and ride-tested. Fit-testing involves fitting the product into the actual vehicle for which it was built. Ride-testing ensures that the part satisfies the performance needs of the specific application.

In 1907, Foster developed the Snubber, the first automotive shock absorber in America. It was followed by the introduction of the first hydraulic shock absorber in 1918. The brand manufactured its first shock for heavy-duty trucks in the 1950s. The years 1956 and 1967 saw two important inventions in the shock absorber market: the Strider/Ajustomatic, the first adjustable shock absorber, and the Hijacker, the first air-adjustable shock absorber, respectively. The company started manufacturing struts in the early 1980s.

GABRIEL

Gabriel introduced two revolutionary technologies in the years 1979 and 1982: Position Sensitive (Groove Tube) technology and the Velocity Sensitive Technology (VST), respectively. The VST was an advancement in ride control for shock absorbers and struts. 1983 saw the introduction of the Gas Ryder, the first gas-charged twin-tube shock absorber built in the United States. In 2001, the brand unveiled a full line of monotube shock absorbers for SUVs and light trucks, called MaxControl. The company's G-Force™ Technology won Popular Mechanics' "Editor's Choice Award" for New Product Design and Innovation in 2004. This technology provides the highest level of control and performance. The G-Force™ technology employs high-pressure nitrogen gas, StableSteer™ valving, D.O.M. tubing, single-lip oil seal and many other innovative features in the suspension components. Gabriel is one of the few companies that offers super-finished chromed piston rods as standard on all levels of shocks and struts. Other experimental designs of Gabriel include a hydraulic rebound stop design and durable piston seal design.

The line of light-duty shocks and struts offered by the brand includes ReadyMount®, MaxControl™, Ultra™, ProGuard™, Guardian™, Classic® and LTV™. The range of heavy-duty suspension parts includes FleetLine®, 83000 Series and 85000 Series.
