Thank you for your inquiry. The steering gear box on this listing is pre lubed. If in the future you are needing to  add lube to it you would use EPT grease.

This (82-70018 R) is a stock replacement gearbox with the same 24:1 ratio as stock. We also have a quick-ratio version (82-70018 QR) with a 16:1 ratio if you're looking to sharpen your steering response.

82-70018 R is an OEM gearbox that's been professionally remanufactured in the USA to perform like new. 82-70018 QR is similar, but different internal gears are used during the rebuild process to give it a quicker ratio for a faster steering response. R has a 24:1 steering ratio, while QR is 16:1. Either one will still bolt up just like OEM.
