This gearbox (82-00275 AN/R) is a stock replacement that keeps the same 3.5 turns-lock-to-lock ratio as the original box. We also have quick-ratio versions of the gearbox as well if you're looking to sharpen your steering response.

No, this gearbox (82-00275 AN/R) is a stock replacement with the same ratio as OEM.

The input shaft is 0.8" in diameter, and has 31 splines. Don't have a spline count for the output shaft, but it's 1.25" in diameter.

We don't regularly carry a quick-ratio version of this gearbox, but if you send us a direct email via the "Contact Us" link, we can check with our rebuilder to see if that's something they can make so we can add it to our catalog.

We do not have anything cataloged for a 1960 Cadillac Series 62, but this steering gearbox (82-00275) fits all 1959-1976 Cadillac Deville, Fleetwood and Eldorado, and from what I can tell those are all sub-models of the Series 62, so I'm confident this will work. We can also look up any OEM part numbers off your original gearbox to make sure they match as well.
