Steering racks offer much quicker ratios over the stock, barge-like 4 turn lock-to-lock steering. Power rack and pinion conversions yield approximately 2.75 turns. As an added benefit you get a lighter weight steering system - Saves up to 25 lbs when compared to the stock steering system! This is an entirely bolt on installation - absolutely no welding, cutting or drilling. Installs with basic hand tools in approximately 6-8 hours. On power kits your existing or readily available power steering pump and brackets can be used, or choose a manual system (higher effort steering, but save even more weight - no pump required - racks are internally lubricated). Rack and pinion conversions are complete kits - all necessary parts are included with the exception of the power steering pump. Parts included: Rack and pinion, Adapter bracket (adapts rack to chassis through A-arm bolts), Tie rod ends (Self cleaning & lubricating, PTFE lined), U-joint assembly, Power steering hoses (power kits only), All required fasteners (grade-8).
