Business Operations Analyst

Our traditional WD group continues to serve wholesale accounts, while our internet site is a popular destination for retail customers, car enthusiasts and mechanics.

We are currently seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join our Logistics Team. The position provides analytical and tactical support across the entire business and supply chain. The position is responsible for all freight and traffic related activities, both inbound and outbound. The role is primarily responsible for recurring department requirements, as well as ad hoc projects assigned by the Logistics Manager. This position is a feeder position for the Senior Business Analyst position. Advanced excel skills are a must, as the position requires a considerable amount of spreadsheet and data analysis.

Qualifications:

-     Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in a business or supply chain related field but not necessary

-     Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in an Excel heavy analytical position

-     Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, must know and be comfortable with vlookups, sorting, filtering, subtotaling and other basic Excel functions

-     Prior experience with SQL query writing in a database is a plus

-     Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as analytical skills

-     Ability to understand and analyze large volumes of data

-     A passion for the automotive industry, cars or car parts a plus

Responsibilities:

-     Maintain, track and analyze all inbound shipments, including working with carriers, freight forwarders and consolidators

-     Coordinate inbound and outbound traffic, maximizing the cost effectiveness of this function

-     Review Daily Reports – Receiving, Shipments, etc. Recognize problems and issues within those reports and take corrective actions applicable for each situation

-     Freight cost analysis and freight invoice processing and review

-     Work with vendors to ensure seamless delivery of their products, as well as facilitate all product returns requirements
