The Isuzu Axiom is a mid-size SUV produced between the years 2002 and 2004. Isuzu is one of the premier automobile manufacturers in the world. Established in 1916, the firm was founded by Yoshisuke Aikawa and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Isuzu is well-known for its trucks and SUVs. In 1922, the brand introduced its first car, the A9 that was followed by the CP truck in 1924. The first passenger car of the company, the Hillman Minx, was rolled out in 1953. There was a line of passenger vehicles released in the 1960s that included the Florian, the Bellett and the 117 Coupe.
The Isuzu Axiom was available in two trims: base and the uplevel XS. It was introduced with a 3.5L V6 engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine generated a horsepower of 230 which was later upgraded to 250hp. Cars of this model had one of two drivetrains: rear wheel drive and front wheel drive.
