The Isuzu Hombre is a compact pickup truck produced during the years 1996-2000. Isuzu is one of the leading automakers of commercial vehicles, trucks and SUVs. The firm was founded in 1916 by Yoshisuke Aikawa. Its headquarters are in Tokyo, Japan. In 1922, the brand introduced its first car, the A9 which was followed by the CP truck. The first passenger car of the company, the Hillman Minx, was rolled out in 1953. There was a line of passenger vehicles released in the 1960s that included the Florian, the Bellett and the 117 Coupe. The Trooper and Rodeo were some of the successful models of the brand introduced in the 1980s.
The Isuzu Hombre was built based on the GMT325 platform and had two trims: base S and uplevel XS. Vehicles of this model were equipped with a 2.2L l4/4.3L V6 engine and a 5-speed manual/4-speed automatic transmission. They were available in a 2-door pickup truck body style.
