International (IHC) is a U.S. manufacturer of vehicles, commercial trucks, construction equipment, agricultural machinery and household and commercial products. It was founded in Canton, Illinois in 1902. The company was formed by the merger of McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company, and three smaller agricultural equipment firms by J.P. Morgan. Its headquarters are located in Warrenville, Illinois. The IHC is now known as the Navistar International Corporation. The company was selected for the Blue Sky Award by WestStart-CALSTART in 2007.

The Farmall, the brand's first general purpose tractor was introduced in 1926. Despite the stiff competition from Ford, John Deere and other manufacturers, IHC enjoyed huge sales of tractors in the 1940s and 1950s. The years 1967, 1971 and 1976 saw the introduction of the 56, 66 and 86 series tractors, respectively. IHC has rolled out many light and heavy duty trucks as well as military vehicles and motorhomes. The S-series trucks launched in 1977 were well-known in the school bus industry. On May 14, 1985 the company rolled off its last IH tractor, the 5488 FWA. The agricultural division of the IHC was sold in 1985 and the company was renamed as the Navistar International Corporation in 1986.
