The Sway Bar Link is a part of the car's suspension system. One end of it is fastened by a bushing and nut to the sway bar and the other end is bolted to the suspension. The sway bar link consists of a metal sleeve, long bolt, washer, nut and four rubber bushings. It is fitted at 90 degrees to the sway bar. The sway bar link keeps the car from swaying too much while turning, and improves shock absorption and handling. It also holds the sway bar in position.
The sway bar link tends to break, bend or wear out over time. When it is broken, it will adversely affect the handling of the car as it is fastened to the vehicle's suspension.
A worn or broken sway bar link can cause your vehicle to lean more while rounding corners and result in poor handling. If you hear a rattling or clicking noise when you drive around a corner, it may be an indication of a faulty sway bar link. At Buy Auto Parts we stock a wide variety of Sway Bar Link for every car make and model.
