It was followed by the introduction of a junior model 1-1/2 ton truck in 1909. The company became the first to equip its trucks with power brakes in 1920. The brand's name was changed to Mack Trucks in 1922. In 1927, the BJ and BB models were unveiled. Mack started manufacturing its own heavy-duty diesel engines in 1938. The F series was rolled out in 1962 and its model range includes the F6xx and F9xx. The brand was acquired by AB Volvo in 2002. Some of the current models of Mack include the Trident and Super-Liner.
Mack produces trucks from Class 8 through Class 13 for vocational and on-road-vehicle markets. Besides trucks, the company has also manufactured engines such as the E6 and E7. The Titan, a heavy-duty truck, was released in 2008 in North America.
