Diesel Kiki was a Japanese automotive brand established under a Bosch license in 1939. The company initially produced fuel-injection pumps for domestic diesel engines. Diesel Kiki changed its name to Zexel in 1990. Robert Bosch GmbH purchased most of Zexel's shares, following which Zexel was re-organized as Bosch Automotive Systems Corporation in 2000. The company was renamed as Bosch Corporation in 2005. Currently, Zexel markets diesel engine components such as inline pumps, distributor pumps, nozzles and nozzle holders. These cylinders are responsible for delivering different amounts of fuel into the engine to generate the required power. The inline pumps which were used in older diesel engine configurations are now predominantly found in large trucks. The company's distributor pumps are available in VE, VRZ, COVEC-F and COVEC-T models. Distributor pumps comprise a single injection cylinder operated by an axial cam plate. These pumps employ a rotary distribution valve which regulates the flow of fuel from the cylinder to the fuel lines.

The company produces DN-Type and DLL-Type nozzles. The nozzle has a small opening through which fuel is sprayed into the engine cylinders. Zexel's nozzles are designed to ensure an optimal discharge of fuel into the engine. In addition to these products, Zexel also sells nozzle holders in designs such as the DN-S Type, DN-PD Type, DLL-S Type and DLLA-P Type.
