The stock turbo (either the AN made by us or the ON made by Borg Warner) is rated at 150hp.  The High performance turbo (HP) is rated at 225hp.   These are 'bench numbers' so you will not get a 50% boost in real life.   Expect something closer to 20-30% boost in 'wheel horse power' when on the car.  

Flashing the engine after an HP install is also recommended for the engine computer to recognize the larger turbo and adjust for it. 

We do carry the OEM Borg Warner turbo that is the OEM manufacturer for Volkswagen and the same part that you would purchase from the dealer. The thing is, Borg Warner does have turbo manufacturing plants in China and Korea as well as all over the world. Since the quality control is the same, there is no difference between a Chinese manufactured OEM turbo and a German OEM manufactured turbo anymore.

You don't necessarily need the syringe, but you do need to inject some oil into the center bearing of the turbo before you install it, and the syringe makes it a lot easier.

Not at all; this is for models that were turbocharged from the factory. If you're looking to add a turbo to your vehicle, you would also need an exhaust manifold, all the intake components (including the intercooler and vacuum parts), likely some larger fuel injectors, and a custom tune to make it all work reliably. This will also affect your vehicle's reliability, fuel economy and ability to pass any emissions testing. If you'd like a faster car, it would be much easier and probably less expensive overall to simply trade in your vehicle for something faster.

The turbo and intercooler are two different parts, not a single assembly, but every vehicle that this turbo fits is also equipped with an intercooler, usually tucked right behind the bumper.

This turbo (40-30002 SG) is a stock replacement that's going to fit and function just like OEM. If you have a few other bolt-on mods, it shouldn't be an issue with this turbo, but we also have a K04 upgrade available here:

The K04 has a slightly larger compressor housing that can flow more air and create more power, while still retaining a response close to the OEM K03; none of the lag traditionally associated with a big turbo. If you need to replace your turbo anyway, it's not a huge price increase, and it's much better suited for the higher dyno numbers you're trying to get.
