This turbo (Stigan 847-1013) is a stock replacement that's going to fit and perform exactly the same as OEM, and has the same journal bearings as OEM. We do have a Garrett PowerMax ball bearing turbo for these same applications available here:

This turbo (40-30095, Stigan 847-1052) fits all early-1999 Ford Super Duty 7.3L PowerStroke, with either transmission.

The turbo in this kit (40-80539 SV) is made by Stigan; it is guaranteed to fit and function just like the OEM, at a much lower price, with a two-year warranty, vs one year from Garrett or a dealership.

The billet actuator on this turbo (Stigan 847-1426) is preset to the same opening pressure as OEM, but the actuator rod is adjustable; if you zoom in, you can see there is a part of it that's threaded with an adjustment nut. The primary appeal of the billet actuator and compressor are faster response and better durability, while still fitting like OEM and working well on an otherwise unmodified or lightly-modified truck.
