A core is the defective part in your car which you are fixing by purchasing a replacement from us. Many of our parts have core deposits. This means that we require your old part back.

In order to ensure that we get your old part back, we charge a temporary deposit which you see on our website as "Core Deposit." Once you have removed the defective part and replaced it with the part you purchased from us, ship the original core back to us. You may add a $12 return shipping label to your order at the time of purchase. This label is good for use only in the contiguous 48 states.

When we get your rebuildable part back, we promptly refund the deposit to your credit card you used to make the purchase. Core deposit refunds are automatic, they don't require follow-up phone calls, and they're completed within two weeks (usually faster) of us receiving the core.

There is not. There might be some companies making electric power steering kits for classic vehicles with manual steering, but there isn't really any benefit to replace hydraulic steering with electric.
