my '79 vette needs a new steering gear box. car already has stock power steering, however, ur Corvette Manual Steering gear box 82-70140 BM looks like this unit is for manual steering. Would this work on my '79 with P/S? If not, what do u recommend?? Much thanks, Lee W.1

Can you give us the casting number off of your original box? We do not show that these vehicles came stock with power steering but we do offer a conversion power steering box. Please follow this link to view it and see if it matches with the one already on your vehicle.
