The MG Motor U.K. Limited is a British manufacturer of cars founded in 2006. Its headquarters are located in Longbridge, Birmingham. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of SAIC Motor. The origin of MG dates back to 1924 when Kimber created the first line of MGs. In 1928, the company became large enough to separate itself from Morris Garages and form the MG Car Company Limited. The company released its first MG car, the 18/80 in the same year. The MG Midget, MGB, RV8, Metro, MG ZR, ZS & ZT, MG 3, MG 7, and the MG XPower SV are the other models released by the brand.

MG cars are popular for their two-seat open sports cars. It has rolled out many full-size, mid-size, compact and subcompact cars. The brand also added saloons, coupes, super cars, racing cars, concept cars as well as vans to its product line. The company changed many hands since 1935. In 2005, the Nanjing Automobile Group (NAC) acquired the rights to the MG brand and the assets of the MG Rover Group and formed the MG Motor company. NAC formally established MG UK Limited as a marque on April 12, 2006.
