BuyAutoParts.com, an online auto parts retailer based in San Diego was named one of two finalists in this year’s San Diego Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics. The company received the award at the annual San Diego BBB Torch Awards Luncheon held December 2nd at the Town & Country Resort Golden Ballroom in the Mission Valley district of San Diego. The Torch Award was given to BuyAutoParts.com in the medium sized business category which consists of companies with 100-249 employees. This is the first Torch Award the company has received.

In order to compete for the award the company must be in good standing with the BBB, be a BBB accredited business and create a submission which highlights the company’s ethics and integrity in the marketplace as well as internally when conducting business. A panel of judges not affiliated with the BBB read through each submission and chose the two finalists and a winner. “The Torch Awards allow the Better Business Bureau to honor businesses that epitomize ethics and integrity” said Sheryl Reichert, President/CEO of the San Diego BBB.
