Eagle was a short-lived American automobile manufacturer that was a marque of the Chrysler Corporation. Following Chrysler's acquisition of the American Motor Corporation (AMC) in 1987, the Jeep/Eagle division was formed. Since AMC did not have a separate brand name for its passenger cars, Chrysler renamed the acquired company to Eagle. The name was taken from the last model manufactured by AMC – the AMC Eagle. Unlike other Chrysler brands, Eagle did not feature the Chrysler logo on its vehicles, but used their own Eagle head logo. Eagle cars were primarily marketed by AMC dealers. Since Chrysler was contractually obliged to sell Renault cars after taking over AMC, the first two Eagle models – the Premier and the Medallion – were rebadged versions of Renault models.

The remainder of the models released by the brand were rebadged versions of other Chrysler models and some captive imports from Mitsubishi. The Eagle Vista and Summit, which rolled out in 1988 and 1989, respectively, were both rebadged versions of the Mitsubishi Mirage. The Talon, which was the brand's halo car, was released in 1990. By the mid-1980s, when Chrysler ran into financial trouble, Eagle's sales suffered. This was mainly due to the fact that Chrysler's marketing resources flowed into the more popular Jeep. After decade of slow sales in the Eagle marque, Chrysler announced the brand's discontinuation in 1997. The last car, an Eagle Talon, rolled off the assembly lines in 1998. Some of the models in the Eagle brand include the Talon, Summit and Vision.
