The Porsche 928 is a grand tourer produced from the year 1977 to 1995. Porsche is a German automaker established in the year 1931, by Ferdinand Porsche. It has its headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1964, the firm launched the Porsche 911, which is still in production. The brand, in collaboration with Volkswagen, introduced the VW-Porsche 914 in 1969. 1977 saw the introduction of the Boxster, which rolled out as a sports car. The Porsche 928 debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1977. It featured a 3-speed/4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. It was available in a 2-door coupe body style. The car was initially equipped with a 4.5L V8 engine and with a 5.4L V8 engine in its final model year. It is the only sports car to win the “European Car of the Year competition” till date.
