The Subaru XT is a compact sports car produced during 1985-1991. Subaru is a Japanese automobile manufacturer established in 1953. The firm is a division of Fuji Heavy Industries. It was founded by Kenji Kita and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The Subaru 1500, introduced in 1954, was the company's first vehicle. The 360, unveiled in 1958, was used as the base to manufacture the minitruck, the Sambar. In the 1960s, Subaru began producing trucks and vans. The 1000, released in 1966, was the first vehicle to have the drive technology that is used in the current models of Subaru.
The Subaru XT was available in a 2-door coupe body style. It was equipped with a 1.8L/2.7L engine and a 4-speed automatic/5-speed manual transmission. The car was called “the ultimate in jazzy design” by the New York Times at the time of its launch. It was marketed in three models: Dl, GL and GL-10.
