The Power Steering Pump makes it easier to turn your car's wheels. It is driven by a belt attached to the car's engine. It requires power steering fluid similar to engine transmission fluid. This fluid is transferred under pressure to other components of the power steering system.

When the power steering belt starts turning, the pulley starts rotating inside the pump. As a result of this, the power steering fluid is pressurized and propelled out to the rest of the power steering pump system. Lubricating and heat-reducing properties are provided by this pressurized fluid.
