Starter

The Starter is an electrical device, which is used to start the car's internal combustion engine. Located under the car's engine, it is mounted on the transmission housing. The flywheel is found between the engine and the transmission. The starting system of a car consists of a motor, solenoid, and battery. The motor is electrically operated by the solenoid.

When the car's key is turned to the start position, an electrical signal is sent to the solenoid through a micro-chipped key and the control module. Then the signal moves to the burglar alarm and the neutral safety switch. This results in the starter gear engaging with the flywheel and turning the gear. If a clicking noise is heard while turning the key to the 'on' position, the car's starter must be replaced as soon as possible.
