The Pontiac 6000 is a mid-size car manufactured between the years 1982 and 1991. Pontiac was an automobile brand founded in the year 1926. Its headquarters were in Michigan, United States. It specialized in the production of mainstream performance vehicles. The Pontiac Chief, launched in 1927, featured a straight 6-cylinder engine. The 1960s saw the introduction of the brand's cars such as the Tempest and GTO. In the 1990s, Pontiac unveiled the Trans Sport, its first light truck and minivan. Some of the well-known Pontiac models include the Fiero, Bonneville and 6000. In 2010, due to financial problems, the brand was discontinued.
The Pontiac 6000 was built on the A-body platform. It was available in 2-door coupe, 4-door sedan and 4-door station wagon body styles.
