Geo Cars & Parts
Geo was a former marque of General Motors from 1989 to 1997. After 1997, the vehicles continued under the Chevrolet brand name. All models under the GEO brand were manufactured in joint ventures with Japanese automakers Toyota, Suzuki and Isuzu. The Metro, a supermini manufactured by the Suzuki joint venture, was the first car manufactured by the brand in 1989. This was followed by the Prizm, a car based off the Toyota Corolla, in 1989. The car won many awards including Consumer Digest's Best Buy award. The model was discontinued in 2002.
The Spectrum, which was originally sold under Chevrolet, was rebranded under the GEO marque in 1989, but was replaced by the Geo Storm in 1990. The Tracker, the final model of the brand, was manufactured in 1989 in collaboration with Suzuki. It was offered as the low-cost alternative to a Jeep. In 1997, owing to dwindling consumer interest, General Motors discontinued the GEO marque.
Popular models of the brand include the Prizm, Tracker and Metro.
