The Plymouth Suburban was a station wagon that was manufactured from 1949 to 1978. Plymouth was an American automobile brand that was established in 1928 by the Chrysler Corporation. It had its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Plymouth Model Q Coupe was the first car to be rolled out by the company. Plymouth had a considerable success in the 1950s. By 1960, sales began to drop and the company began to sell badge-engineered versions of Chrysler and Dodge. The brand was eventually discontinued with the final model of the Plymouth Neon rolling off the assembly lines in 2001.
The Plymouth Suburban was the brand's first all-steel body station wagon. The vehicle was available in 2-door/4-door station wagon body styles and a rear-wheel drivetrain. It was fitted with a 3.8L l6 or 5.2L/5.9L V8 engine and had a 3-speed manual transmission.
