The Cadillac Escalade, which has been hitting the roads since 1999, is a full-size luxury SUV. The sole reason for the introduction of this model was to establish a strong presence for Cadillac in the SUV market, and compete with the increasing number of SUVs, especially the Lincoln Navigator. Cadillac was the brand's first notable vehicle in the SUV market. Cadillac was quite keen on introducing the Escalade as soon as possible to their customers, considering that the Navigator was a serious rival. When the Escalade was first introduced, it was designed based on the GMC Denali. In the next three years, by 2002, the Escalade received a design change that matched the brand's “art and science” theme.

The Escalade has been produced in four generations. The first and the fourth (current) generation of the Escalade are designed with a SUV body style. The second and third generations of the vehicle were designed with either an SUV or sport utility truck body style. Some of the significant features of the first-generation cars (1999–2000) include Auto-Trac selectable 4x4 and a surround system built by Bose Corporation. The Cadillac is notorious for being the most stolen brand in the United States.

In 2002, the Cadillac EXT, a sport utility truck was introduced to compete with the Lincoln Blackwood. When cars of the second generation (2002–2006) were in production, the Platinum edition Escalade ESV was introduced in 2004. This car was the first to feature factory-installed 20-inch chrome wheels. Cars of the third generation (2007–2014) were equipped with an all-aluminum Vortec V8 engine, which is the first push-rod engine to include variable valve timing. It was the first time the technology was used in a mass-produced non-overhead cam engine.

Like most modern-day automobiles, the Escalade was also rolled out in a hybrid version. The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid was unveiled during the 2008 South Florida International Auto Show. The fourth-generation model was introduced in 2013 with the production commencing in 2014. The car is powered by the same V8 engine like the preceding generations, while the transmission is either an 8-speed or 6-speed automatic in the fourth-generation Escalade.

Cadillac is a division of General Motors (GM), a world-renowned automotive giant. Cadillac was established by GM in 1902 to cater to the luxury vehicle market. Cadillac is one of the oldest automotive brands in the world. Its headquarters are located in New York, United States. From the initial years, the brand has been known for successfully incorporating advanced technologies in its vehicles. Cadillac was the first brand to win the Dewar Trophy from the Royal Automobile Club of England in 1908. The trophy was awarded since Cadillac successfully demonstrated the interchangeability of one of its component parts in a reliability test. After four years in 1912, Cadillac again won the Dewar Trophy for using electric starting and lighting in a production vehicle. Like other General Motor brands including Chevrolet and Buick, Cadillac's cars are known to raise the standards of the automotive market in terms of quality and performance.

With the automotive technology becoming more sophisticated, sensors are one part that have a significant role in any automotive system. In general, a sensor generates an output in response to a physical input such as a change in tire pressure or the amount of oxygen in the air-fuel mixture. With all sensors in an automotive system being crucial, the one that has a significant impact on the efficiency of the engine is the oxygen sensor. The amount of unburnt oxygen in the exhaust is sensed by the oxygen sensor. This helps the Engine Control Unit (ECU) regulate the amount of fuel sent to the engine. Some sensors also help ensure the safety of your vehicle, such as the speed sensors in the anti-lock braking system (ABS). These sensors sense the speed of all the four wheels, which is then transmitted to the ABS system. Since the speeds of all the four wheels are monitored, any condition that might cause a loss in traction can be prevented. All the sensors or kits you need for your Escalade are available in our inventory!
