The Plymouth GTX is a muscle car manufactured from 1967 to 1971. Plymouth, a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler, was established on July 7, 1928. Its headquarters were in Michigan, United States. Models such as the Belvedere and Fury were launched in the 1950s. The Reliant, a compact car, was introduced in 1981. In 1999, the firm started manufacturing the second generation Neon, which was the last model of the brand to roll off the assembly lines. Some of the well-known automobiles of Plymouth included the Prowler, Horizon, Laser and Savoy. The brand became defunct in 2001.
The Plymouth GTX was rolled out in three generations: 1967, 1968-1970 and 1971. It was available in 2-door coupe, 2-door convertible and 2-door hardtop body styles. It was equipped with a 7.2L/7.0L/6.3L V8 engine and featured a 3-speed automatic/4-speed manual transmission.
