1968 mercury cougar Manual Steering Gear Box Review

"I run a 1968 Mustang manual steering box in my Model A Ford street rod. It had about 3" of play in the steering wheel. It took about two hours to replace with this new steering box, and it drives so much better no play in the wheel. Much cheaper than getting my old one rebuilt."

"Received your new replacement 20:1 manual steering gear for my 68 mustang fastback. No complaints on fitment, but the output shaft seal was installed crooked. Then I saw on the shipping box that it was manf. in China. A classic American car with a China made steering gear. Not happy with that."

Iam looking at your manual steering box part #82-70092 for 67 ford mustang. I have a 31 ford coupe street rod with a bad steering box I am trying to replace. Your box says with tag smb-d mine says tag smb-k Will it fit, Looks exact as mine but tag #1

I have a 1967 ford fairlane with a short shaft tag# sma-b. Its a 16-1 ratio. I want to get a 20-1 ratio short shaft. No room for power steering. 427 with Crites headers1
