This compressor will have some oil inside to protect the part during shipping and the time it spends on our shelf, but you would need to drain it and add fresh oil prior to installation. If you can provide your vehicle information, we can look up the exact type and amount of oil and refrigerant required. Your vehicle should also have a label under the hood with that information as well.

This compressor is only tested and verified to fit on US-spec 2015-2018 Forester 2.5L and 2015-2016 Forester XT. We have the correct compressor for a 2017-2018 Forester XT available here:

They are not included, but what exact vehicle do you have? We have AC kits available that include the compressor with clutch, drier filter, expansion valve, PAG oil, all the O-Ring seals required, and a two year warranty, versus one year for the compressor ordered by itself.
