Thank you for your inquiry. We do not catalog gear ratio but the steering box on this listing is listed as a 3.5 turns lock to lock and will hook up to the original steering shaft and pitman arm.

The Standard ratio is 4.0 LTL or 16:1, and the Quick Ratio gearbox is 3.5 LTL or 14:1.

This gearbox (82-00099) fits all 1968-1979 Ford full-size pickup with factory power steering. It does NOT fit 1968 or 1969 models with the Bendix-designed power steering option.

This steering gearbox (82-00099) fits nearly all 1968-1979 Ford pickups with 2WD and factory power steering. On 1968 and 1969 models, there is also a Bendix steering system available, which this gearbox would NOT work with.

All of our stock replacement gearboxes (part number would end in R or AN) are going to fit and function just like OEM. For some applications, we also have a quick-ratio version available, which will still fit like OEM, but provide a faster steering response and better handling.

This gearbox (82-00099) is only tested and verified to fit 1970-1979 F100, F150, F250 & F350 2WD with factory power steering. We cannot guarantee fitment on models with manual steering, and in our experience, you will likely need some smaller linkage parts like the pitman arm and coupler from a power steering truck.

Ford factory gearbox or Saginaw as opposed to Bendix power-assist that uses a ram cylinder and a standard manual steering box. does not fit 1968-69 models with the Bendix power-assist steering system. Ford design does not fit 1968-69 models with the Bendix power-assist steering system.
