Toyota Camry Parts

+

The Toyota Camry, a compact or mid-sized car, has been in production since 1982. Over the years, the vehicle has been differentiated either as a narrow-body car (1982–1998) or a wide-body car (1991–present). Toyota initially named one of its models which was rolled out between 1979 and 1982, the Celica Camry. This model was available only to the Japanese market. In 1982, the brand decided to offer the Camry as an individual series. Since its inception, the Toyota Camry has spanned ten generations to date. The narrow-body Camry is identified as the V10, V20, V30, V40 and V50 series, from the first to fifth generation, respectively. The wide-body cars are identified as XV10, XV20, XV30, XV40 and XV50 series, from the sixth through the tenth generation, respectively.

Vehicles of the first generation were available in lift-back and sedan body styles. These cars worked on a 1.8L/2.0L l4 engine, with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. They were produced in the company's Tsutsumi plant in Japan. Camry vehicles have served as the basis for a number of other Toyota models. For instance, the Camry with an XV10 body was released in 1993. This car was later manufactured as an independent line of vehicles under the name the Camry Solara, commonly called the Solara.

Some car manufacturers style their cars' names after a theme. While Volkswagen names its cars after winds, Toyota chooses names that are associated with the word “crown”. The name “Camry” is an anglicized phonetic transcription of the word “kanmuri”, a Japanese word for crown. Other Toyota models incorporating the crown nomenclature include the Corona which represents the Latin word for crown, and the Tiara which is a type of crown.

Toyota is one of the top manufacturers of automobiles in the world. Having its central offices in Aichi, Japan, the company's market is spread around the world. Toyota takes environmental consciousness very seriously, and has contributed significantly in that respect. Needless to say, it is one of the front-runners in the market for producing green cars today. The history of Toyota dates back to the 1930s, during which it was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda. The company was formed under the control of Toyota Industries, owned by Kiichiro's father Sakichi Toyoda. The Type A, an l6 engine, was the first product manufactured by the company in 1934. Two years later, in 1936, the company built its first passenger car, the Toyota AA. Among the many other brands owned by Toyota is the Lexus, its luxury vehicle division, and Scion, a brand exclusive to the North American market.

Toyota is the world's first automaker to produce 10 million vehicles in one year. Toyota reached a milestone of producing 200 million vehicles in 2012. With such a huge number of vehicles, the demand for Toyota parts can be high. With an extensive selection of parts from our catalog, you can order any part for any model of Toyota, including your Camry.

Maintaining your Camry is imperative and you need to do it regularly. With our best-quality auto parts, you can give your vehicle a makeover without any fear of losing its original efficiency. Car part failures can happen at any time, however a deteriorating part will always let you know that it needs attention by exhibiting specific symptoms or by generating the requisite warnings on your dashboard. However, identifying the right part that is at fault needs a bit of knowledge.

For instance, the Check Engine Light in your dashboard will glow if your engine under-performs. An engine can provide a less-than-satisfactory performance due to a number of factors. Causes of poor engine performance cannot be restricted to just mechanical damages within, such as damaged valves, crankshafts, camshafts or pistons. Other systems such as the ignition and cooling system can also have an effect on the performance of the engine. Even problems in parts of the exhaust system, such as the oxygen sensor can affect the efficiency of the engine. When the oxygen sensor fails to sense the right amount of oxygen in the exhaust, it will cause a decrease in the fuel economy and performance.

To narrow down the signs of any poorly performing part, you need to check with a professional mechanic. If you are a DIYer that is quite familiar with all the parts of your car, things can be a lot easier. You can save the money you spend at the mechanic and install the parts on your own. Furthermore, you can save money on auto repairs if you buy your auto parts from us!
