That is correct this is only to be directly swapped on 16 Ford Focus ST models.

It wouldn't fit; this turbo (40-31313) only fits the 2.0L EcoBoost. What year is your 1.6L? We can check to see if we have the correct turbo available.

No, this is only for vehicles which were turbocharged from the factory. If you're looking to add a turbo to your vehicle, you would also need an exhaust manifold, all the intake components (including the intercooler and vacuum parts), likely some larger fuel injectors, and a custom tune to make it all work safely. This will also affect your vehicle's reliability, fuel economy and ability to pass any emissions testing.

This turbo (40-31313) fits all 2015-2017 MKC with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, but we do not currently have a performance upgrade turbocharger listed on the site for these applications; apologies for the inconvenience.
