ABS (Anti-lock Braking system) is a four wheel system that prevents the wheel from automatic lock by maintaining brake pressure. The ABS Sensor consists of a hydraulic control unit, ABS control module, and front and rear anti-lock brake sensors. The sensors are located on the wheels. These direct the control unit to increase or decrease the hydraulic pressure needed. They monitor the rotational velocity of a wheel on a car. It will activate the anti-lock braking system if it detects a difference in rotational speed of the wheels, which in turn prevents locking-up and skidding.
