What is the Name of Your Car Navigation?

Car Navigation

March 22, 2013 - Do you have any crazy friends that name their car navigation systems? They often talk to them or scream at them when the navigation system gets them lost?

You know what I mean, right? Back when GPS systems first came out a lot of people named their GPS. Whether it was the Frenchmen’s voice that was telling you to “turn left in 500 yards,” where the road didn’t exist or the sultry starlet that said “as soon as you can, make a U turn.” Problem was when you named ole Frenchie or Sultry, all too often they were not on target with where you were and what you were doing.

Well, things have come a long way since then. The car navigation systems in many vehicles today are pretty top of the line stuff. You no longer have to stop for directions or figure out another way to get places. With the high-tech world of satellites and on-board sensors the navigation systems of today can tell you where you are, help you find where you want to go, search for new routes, or even tell you where to go for dinner and dancing.

The really cool thing about most car navigation systems is that not only are they more accurate, but they are much more on target and know their stuff. That’s a huge benefit because it’s pretty disheartening when you opt not to buy the map just to get lost because your old GPS is having “a moment.”

The number one benefit of having navigation to me is probably the comfort of having one. You can get in your vehicle and go anywhere with help from your onboard pilot. You can feel safe in foreign cities or in the country because your car navigation system will help you find your way.
